Hi Ilana,
ReplyDeleteReading these was crazy. There has been so much craziness going on this year. War, disease, and unfortunate death in gainesville. Right in front of my neighborhood a child got hit and passed away at the age of 15, and a 21 year old UF student also passed in the same fashion. Describing who has the problem is always interesting to pick apart.
Hi Ilana,
ReplyDeleteI feel that your first post, the one about the counterfeit jerseys. I personally dont think that selling counterfeit jerseys is a big deal and, if anything, the police robbed Tyrone the opportunity to earn an honest living. When I was in Europe it was extremely common to see people selling counterfeit jerseys for soccer teams. Those soccer teams are billion dollar organizations who are just happy with the fact that their brand is selling and expanding rather than generating revenue from jerseys. The real victims are the fans and not the football teams as the fans have to now rely on paying $100 for a jersey they will never wear rather than a $10 they can wear for one time events. The masses get hurt in this instance more than the corporations.
